Taste (Ava Delaney #5) Release

Have a great Paddy’s Day/weekend all! My nails will be green, but that’s about as crazy as it’ll get here because I’ll be working all weekend. πŸ™‚

I get panicky whenever I click Publish because something always seems to go wrong, but everything’s gone smoothly so far (I probably just jinxed myself…)

Taste is available to purchase on Kobo, Smashwords, Amazon US, UK, CA, etc. Other retailers take approximately two weeks longer.

The final book in the series is due for release around June 2013.

  1. I just finished reading taste and it was great. I cant wait for the final book to see how this whole adventure will end. For zero to super hero Ava is a character we all want to be in real life. Thank you Claire for writing this series!

    • I’m sorry – I’d have it on nook at the same time as kindle if I could. 😦 Still, Smashwords use the same epub file if you didn’t want to wait. Either way, thanks for following the series so far. πŸ˜€

  4. I loved this one. I hate to see the series end! Will there be a spin off or other series besides the YA one? Thanks!

    • Glad you liked it, Leah. I’m pretty sure there will be more stories in this world. I’ve done so much work on the history and races that it would be a shame not to use it all. πŸ™‚

I don’t know when, and I’m not sure what characters will be used, but Ava will almost certainly make an appearance; I have vague plans for some of the characters. I would like to some day write in Ava’s POV again, because she has a lot more to do in her life, but we’ll see how it goes. πŸ™‚

There is one story that I am likely going to write this year though. (It could be released next year). An unnamed (in the book) character will pop up at the end of Ava’s story, and I plan to write a novel in her POV. Ava will be heavily involved because of a mutual enemy.

I’m also going to work on a new trilogy this year that might fit in the same world, which would mean some of the same characters could appear (and I’d kind of love that), but I haven’t figured out if it’s workable yet, or if I need a brand new world. πŸ™‚

  5. Finished Taste a few days ago. I loved it!!!! I can’t wait till the next one comes out (although admittedly I’m torn between wanting to know how it all ends and not being ready for it to be over) I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping everything works out for the characters I’ve grown to love. Everyone has changed and grown since the first book and I’m curious to see where everyone will end up.

  7. I loved Taste and I can’t wait to see what happens. I couldn’t wait to get home from work to see what happens. I am torn from being upset I don’t know what happens yet and happy it didn’t end yet. Can’t wait to see where you take us! Thank you. I think this one was my favorite so far.

    • Hey, Kriss. πŸ™‚

Without giving anything away, there is plenty of opportunity for Ava to show up in other stories – whether it’s her story or not. I would miss her otherwise!

I’m editing Traitor at the moment, and the ending feels more like a beginning to me. Like, anything can happen next, and that’s what I love about that particular world, so I definitely want to keep writing in it.
